Clinical Research Regulatory Coordinator

Professional Experience

Since November of 2021, Mary maintains the regulatory tasks for the Healthy Mind Lab including IRB protocols, creating and plain language editing consent forms, creating plain language clinical trial summaries for the participants, maintaining studies in ClinicalTrials.gov, and managing payments for the Healthy Mind Lab.

She carries a wealth of plain language knowledge from her past experience at a non-profit that creates plain language summaries of clinical trials and other health information in the name of health literacy. She also used her extensive background in foreign languages to review translated materials and assist with translated video content.

She also holds past experience at a biomedical research facility as a study coordinator organizing pre-clinical research services and studies, she also comes with a working knowledge of research studies, writing Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocols and editing pre-clinical study protocols.

Mary carries even more experience with non-profit work from her time spent serving as co-chair of the Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition – providing education and community outreach to the reality of human trafficking in Mid-Missouri and providing emergency support to survivors of human trafficking in the area.

Currently she occasionally volunteers at the International Institute of St. Louis, and interns at the Department of State and Department of Defense.

Education

Mary holds two Bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Political Science from the
University of Missouri – Columbia, and is Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)
certified.

She also holds non-degree studies at Belgorod State University in Belgorod, Russia.

Mary is currently working on her Master’s in International Affairs here at Washington University, with a certificate in Forensic Psychology.
